Goalkeeper
Tamzin is in her second season of women’s football after playing in Portishead’s youth teams from the age of ten. S
he is dedicated and committed to giving it her all and never shies away from a 1v1, bravely closing down the opposition.
Centre Back / Full Back
Reserves Captain Laura Graham joined Portishead from Bristol Uni back in 2016 and quickly found the club to be like a second family.
Quicker along the floor than on her feet, you’ll normally find her spending some time in the mud with a sliding tackle. Laura’s vocal chords get as much of a workout as her legs on match day, and she’s a firm believer that we get better as a team when we encourage each other.
Right Back
Katie joined this season from Nailsea’s U16 team. She is a flexible player, and has slotted into many positions for the team, but defence is her strongest area. Her speed, strength and tenacity surprise the opposition.
Left Back
Lauren is a quality player who has played for Portishead for eight seasons, from junior to adult level. She is versatile and determined, with great strength going into tackles.
Her refusal to let a player past her means that she is an amazing asset wherever she plays in defence, constantly supporting whoever is in the back four with her.
Full Back / Centre Back
Portishead’s Millie Chaplin is quick on the ball and has has never been afraid to get dirty. Not one to give up on a tackle, she is difficult to beat. MC is a crucial and versatile player in the back four as a right back or centre back, knowing how to run the back line.
Able to Usain Bolt it up the wing to pass into play, her strength, determination and skill is a massive bonus for the team.
Centre Back
In her first season in adult football, fearsome centre back Beth has already become a firm fixture in the starting line up.
Brave and tenacious in a challenge, we look forward to seeing Beth advance to new levels as she continues to push herself further with every game.
Centre Back
Em is our former first team captain, who after taking a break to have babies has returned to the game as the elder statesman at the back.
A no nonsense defender who enjoys a good header and last last ditch sliding tackle.
Centre Back / Full Back
Phoebe joined Portishead in 2015 at 17, and has grown with the club, continuing to play for us when she briefly moved away.
Phoebe is immediately obvious as a very vocal player on the pitch. Being one of the more experienced members of the team, she isn’t scared take charge when needed, or offer support to her teammates.
Left Back
Calm, composed, and with a natural positional sense, Livvy Morgan is the cement to our defensive wall, and has worked her way up through the junior age groups to senior level at the club.
Solid and dependable both as a person and a full back, Livvy has an eye for the simple ball that people don’t always spot!
Winger
Ella came from Nailsea girls U16s and has been committed to training and improvement since she joined. She is very speedy down the line, and is loving playing for the team.
Ella feels like since joining Portishead, her skills in passing and attacking have improved a lot. The lovely people at the club have made her feel very welcome, and she can’t wait for the future with the Reserves.
Centre Midfield
Hollie joined Portishead this season from Nailsea U16’s. She is a hard working member of the team who is not afraid to put in a tackle. Always looking to improve her skill,
Hollie loves the Portishead team spirit and the constant encouragement.
Striker or Attacking Midfield
Courtney has moved up from U16’s after playing her youth football at Portishead Town. Courtney is very composed on the ball, she has a great left and right foot, and a very strong shot.
Reading the game well and looking for those easy through balls to teammates, Courtney is a team player and hopes to continue playing football, as her confidence continues to grow with every game.
Centre Midfield
Katherine has signed for her second season with Portishead, and commands the midfield with her strong tackles and passing game. With a precise first touch, she takes on players with confidence and looks for goal when presented with the opportunity.
She’s looking forward to developing with the Reserves this season.
Centre Midfield
Ollie Maclellan has been with Portishead Ladies since U14s, and we’re thrilled to have retained her for her third season of adult football. With a natural flair for coaching (talking), VC Ol brings up everyone around her and leads by example on the pitch with her willingness to put her body on the line for the team.
She reads the game well, both in and out of possession, making herself a key central player for the Reserves.
Centre Midfield
Chelsea has returned to the club this season after a few years away from Portishead Ladies, and we couldn’t be happier to have her back. She is a strong player with a solid strike, who has added some more physicality to a young team this season.
Her experience means she picks out the right through ball with ease, and Chelsea is a positive influence to have in the squad.
Winger
A force to be reckoned with both on and off the pitch, Eloise has grown enormously as player in several seasons of adult football.
Eloise displays arresting skill and pace down the line as she relentlessly conducts lightning counter attacks, and is a big personality in the dressing room.
Left Wing
With a powerful engine to rival that of a steam train, Ella Wallis has exhausted her fair share of defenders down the line, and she will never stop running on match day.
Mostly based in Liverpool during the Uni term, the Reserves look forward to her return in the Christmas break.
Winger / Striker
Kiera started playing for Clevedon United under 10s and played there for five years, then moving to Portishead under 16s for a season.
Last season Kiera joined the Ladies, and has massively improved her confidence on the pitch and off. Kiera has a powerful shot and mostly plays as a striker, but she can also play on the wing, putting together smart plays for the team.
Striker
Emily Edwards has proved a powerful asset for the Reserves this season, putting her name on the scoresheet with regular enthusiasm.
A clinical finisher, former England Schoolgirl Emily joined the Portishead Ladies team following tours in Spain and Holland in 2019.
She is an intelligent footballer who knows how to time a run and play her teammates into the game at the right moment; Emily is getting stronger with every game and has an exciting future at the club.
Striker
Molly moved up to the ladies in 2017 after playing for PTFC juniors since she was 11. Spending a season at right back, she’s moved up the pitch into striker and has had her fair share of games in goal as well!
After three seasons with the club, Molly is now a well rounded and versatile player, ready to step up from Vice Captain when called upon.
