Full Back or Winger
Grace joins the team in the summer from Cheltenham with intentions to make an impact on the pitch.
After suffering an ACL injury in pre- season, Grace is now undergoing rehab and looking to make her mark on the team when she returns to football at the start of the 21/22 season.
Laura signed for Portishead this season, coming from the University of Bristol’s Women’s team.
Laura is a solid defender never shirking in a battle and enjoys scoring the occasional header from set pieces when the opportunity arises.
Phoebe signed for Portishead this season, coming from the University of Bristol’s Women’s team.
Phoebe is a tough tackling defender who also offers an attacking outlet on the right using her speed to great effect.
Central Defensive midfielder
Nat joined Portishead in 2016 after graduating from Bristol University and has been at the club ever since, helping to secure 3 promotions in that time.
A determined, no nonsense midfielder who will not stop running until the final whistle blows!
Chelsea is a new addition to the Portishead squad this season, she has fitted in well quickly. playing in defence, she is physically strong & reads the game well when out of possession.
Chelsea brings pace & composure to the team, & loves getting forward when the opportunity arises.
She is also willing to constantly learn & improve as a player to improve future performances. Not shy in questioning officials decisions.
Rosie came from Nailsea Girls u16’s, and is settling into the team very well with much pride, she enjoys every moment on the pitch playing with a smile on her face.
She is hoping to help The Possets to success this season, especially with her speed and technical skill together with a keen eye for goal.
She feels privileged to have such a great bunch of players and management team to help the team and herself.
Lilly is just 16 years of age and this is her first season of adult football after previously playing for Bristol City Academy and Somerset FA.
Her position is centre midfield and her strengths include excellent close control and pinpoint long passing.
Amy only joined us this season, being scouted by Meg Harding. With a strong right foot and blistering pace making her a danger up front, always looking to improve her game making her a competitive striker
Brooke came from Nailsea Girls u16’s and is in her first season of adult football.
She is a strong defender who can play anywhere across the back line. She is excited with the challenge of National League football and certainly is a positive influence in the changing room.
Lulu joined Portishead this season after playing for Brislington and Keynsham in her first 2 seasons of adult football.
The 18 year old is a creative attack minded player who loves to get on the ball and uses her technical ability to control the tempo of the game.
Lulu has thrived on the positive atmosphere of the club since joining the club and is constantly looking to improve her game. She loves a long range effort and is looking to add more goals and assists to her name over the rest of the season.
Taylor is our most experienced midfielders and Club Captain.
Her competitiveness makes her a leader on and off the field and is in her 4th season with the club, the midfield maestro has an eye for a clinical long range ball.
Striker or Attacking Midfield
Emily signed for Portishead in 2018 having played the previous four years for the University of Bristol team. She’s looking to complete her first full season with the club, with the previous seasons cut short due to lockdown.
Emily enjoys playing in the midfield or as centre forward and is looking to add goals and assists this season to support the team in their first season in the FAWNL She is excellent at closing down defenders and chasing lost causes.
Young Player of the Year 2019/20 and Managers Player 2020/21.
Alanna rejoins Portishead midway through this season after a brief spell in the Welsh Premier League. She is a midfielder whose passing ability and hard work has been a great asset to the team.
Ruby is now in her sixth season at Portishead having joined after university. She has been part of the women’s team as it’s risen through the leagues and is really proud to be playing at this National Level with the squad.
Started with us as a free-scoring striker now converted to a defender where her no-nonsense tackling and speed make her one of the first names on the team sheet.
Sarah started playing football when she was just 10 years old for newly formed Nailsea Town Girls.
Her first position was a striker but with the team struggling in a well established Bristol league she was swiftly moved to defence where she has played ever since. Sarah joined Portishead Town from Nailsea United Ladies in 2015 and has contributed to 3 league promotions, one being in 2017 when she scored the winning goal to ensure promotion and many cup wins.
Keiana has played for the club since the age of 12 breaking into the first team at 16.
She has a passion for the club as a local girl and wears her heart on her sleeve every time she steps onto the pitch.
Although still new to the Women’s game she is growing in confidence always hungry to learn from other players and coaches. She prides herself on putting on a show with her fancy footwork and sharp changes of pace as she looks to whip balls in with her deadly left foot.
Shannon now 23 has been a loyal and committed player for Portishead having joined the Possets at junior level aged 7.
Shannon has been with us through 3 consecutive promotions, she is a versatile player and whether playing on the wing or up front, has always been known to give her fair share of goals and assists.
She’s got many years of experience behind her playing at a high level with club and internationally representing Northern Ireland Under 19’s and is hoping to use this to support the team after their most recent promotion into the National League.
Shannon has over a 100 appearances and over 100 goals in Senior football.
Joining the club after taking a break from football to raise her daughter, Chloe has been first choice goalkeeper for Portishead for 5 seasons.
Having more than 15 years’ experience in goal, she is confident on the ball and fearless when facing attackers, has had the odd runout for the reserves as a striker!
Katie started out at Portishead and played with the girls teams for most of her youth career.
She played for a boys side in the JPL for a few years to improve her physicality and speed of play, she has also attended a number of England Training Camps.
Last season she signed for Bristol City Academy and has stayed with them since- now dual signing with Portishead Ladies. Katie is an intelligent player that is primarily a box to box midfielder but has been viewed as a utility player by adapting to different positions.
Jodie re-signed for Portishead in 2015 and has been an important team member contributing to the three promotions, a tough tackling no nonsense midfielder.
