Portishead Town Ladies moved to the top of the League following their fourth win of the season, defeating Cheltenham Town Ladies 3-2.
Shannon Holloway scored two goals in a one sided first half, the first following a strong run from distance and smashing the ball past the Cheltenham keeper. The second coming from a flowing move from back to front with Ruby Lowe passing to Holloway to finish neatly. In the 65th minute, Portisheads' third came from a Holloway cross to give Michelle Venton a tap in at the back post.
Portishead then sat back and gave Cheltenham more of the ball which they used to good effect, resulting in two late goals for the visitors and led to a nervy last few minutes to the match.
Robert John Hairdressing Player of the Match was awarded to Imogen Fisher.
