One To Forget
A beautiful day greeted us today as we travelled to Priory Rangers. A stop off at Greggs and a coffee was well received! A good warm up and a good decision by Daniel Earl to change ends put us in goood stead. However, that's where it ended! We were up against an excellent team who were strong and certainly up for the game. We found ourselves up against the cosh from the outset and were 3-0 down within the first 10 minutes. We had a few moments of inspiration with Theo and Daniel Earl making a good move to release Micky who was fouled inside the box. Unfortunately the ref deemed otherwise and gave a free kick, which came to nothing. Priory then went on a rampage and we went in 6-0 at half time. We had "a chat" at half time and we started the second half brightly. However, Priory had other ideas and took control of the game. An elbow saw Stuart hit the deck and an elbow to Theo's head saw the both get subbed. We were struggling now and had no answers! Rohan was brave in the goal but had little chance against the quality of Priory Rangers shots. We had an excellent chance to get a consolation goal which saw Daniel V. make a great interception in defence to relase Noah who released the ball to Micky who strolled through their defence only to meet their keeper who made a fine stop. Final score 10-0. Player of the match was Joe Llewelyn who never, ever, ever gave up. Well done Joe.
Priory were a strong team and we have a lot to learn!! I will leave it there!
At training we need 100% focus from all players otherwise we will find ourselves in this position, which I am sure none of us want.
