U12s through in the cup
Posset come from two goals down
Portishead started calmly with some good movement creating early opportunities with Barney Wilson going close. As the half wore on midfield started to splinter and Axbridge found their passing game and despite some good defending from Jack Lench and Liam Duncan, they took the lead. Caleb James was a menace to the Axbridge defence making useful runs in the channels and a few further chances were created, but when Axbridge picked up a loose Portishead pass, their striker left 'keeper Freddie Aldom no chance with a cool finish to lead by two at the break.
The second half saw immediate improvement as Portishead showed more composure in possession and with plenty of confident passing and movement throughout the team. An excellent break from the back saw Caleb James latch onto a Tom Benfield through ball, round the keeper and slot home neatly. Shortly after, Liam Duncan stabbed home from close range after a Sam Stone corner and after great work from Jacob Travers set him through on goal, George Gigg completed the turnaround with a cracking goal that sees Portishead into into the next round.
